Game of Thrones Fan Makes Soap

Dragon Silk Soap

The story line for Game of Thrones, HBO show, is woven so intricately I’ve watched the entire 4 seasons three times. I’ve listened to all audio books, and began reading the books. Each character, even those easily dislikable, are interesting. The stories are complex and nuanced, so I wanted to enjoy this show more fully.

I was influenced by this show… I wondered what a dragon might smell like, feel like and what would be my experience while using this soap?

Using soap of a dragon would smell distinct and to touch the soap itself would be smooth, yet hard, rough in places. The color would be inciting.

For more in-depth explanation of Game of Thrones, Wikipedia explains the story line much better than I can:

“Set in the fictional Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, the series chronicles the violent dynastic struggles among the realm’s noble families for control of the Iron Throne. As the series opens, additional threats emerge in the icy North and in the eastern continent of Essos.[2]

The novels and their adaptation derive aspects of their settings, characters and plot from various events of European history.[6] A principal inspiration for the novels is the English Wars of the Roses[7] (1455–85) between the houses of Lancaster and York, reflected in Martin’s houses of Lannister and Stark. Most of Westeros, with its castles and knightly tournaments, is reminiscent of High Medieval Western Europe. The scheming Cersei, for instance, calls to mind Isabella of France (1295–1358).[6] She and her family, as depicted in Maurice Druon‘s historical novel series The Accursed Kings, in particular, inspired Martin.[8] Other historical inspirations for elements of the series include Hadrian’s Wall (which became Martin’s great Wall), the fall of Rome, the legend of Atlantis (ancient Valyria), Byzantine “Greek fire” (“wildfire”), Icelandic sagas of the Viking Age (the Ironborn) and the Mongol hordes (the Dothraki), as well as elements from the Hundred Years’ War(1337–1453) and the Italian Renaissance (c. 1400–1500).[6] The series’ great popularity has in part been attributed to Martin’s skill at fusing these disparate elements into a seamless whole that appears credible on its own terms as an alternative history.[6]

The Sopranos in Middle-earth” is the tagline show runner David Benioff jokingly suggested for Game of Thrones, referring to its intrigue-filled plot and dark tone combined with a fantasy setting that incorporates some magic.[9] In a 2012 study, the series was listed second out of 40 recent U.S. TV drama series by deaths per episode, with an average of 14.[10][11]

 Dragon Silk Soap

The first soap I made I have called,  Dragon Silk. dragon soap #got #gameofthrones #dragonsoap #dragon

Dragon Silk Soap #got #gameofthrones #dragonsoap #dragon #handmadesoapI created Dragon Scales on top, kept the color green throughout, and mixed a fragrance that inspires an idea of a Dragon.

This soap is hard and smooth to the touch with a silky lather and silky to the touch. The top is a little rough, which adds to the idea of Dragon Scales. This soap is made with real silk powder, double butters and three oils and of course, lard; olive oil, Coconut oil, soybean oil, Shea butter and cocoa butter. I love this soap so much I hesitate to offer it for sale. I am going to make more. I’m also going to make Dragon Soap for each of Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons. Dragon Silk Soap #got #gameofthrones #dragonsoap #dragon #handmadesoap

This soap is full of scents of fire, pine, fir and all this combines to create my idea of the scent of a Dragon. This soap is what I believe a Game of Thrones Dragon would smell like, full of mystery, magic and grounding of wood smells, with a hint of smoke.

I offer Dragon Silk Soap.
